Colorization starts with a clean scan or transfer: dust, scratches, and geometry are corrected where it matters before color is applied. Next we gather reference colors—period color photos, objects, catalogs, or client notes—and lock them in as guide hues for the model.
Only then comes AI-assisted colorization, followed by quality control: comparison with the monochrome original, checks on skin, sky, and materials, and release only after human review. AI accelerates the work—it does not replace archival judgment.
